Discover the top 10 San Antonio Wedding Venues, from Hill country scenery to downtown architecture, with tips, pricing insights, and photogenic locations.
If you’re searching for the best San Antonio wedding venues that feel beautiful, elevated, and genuinely photograph well, this list is for you. As a San Antonio wedding photographer, I’ve seen firsthand how much your venue impacts the entire feel of your wedding day. The lighting, architecture, scenery, guest experience, and overall atmosphere all play such a huge role in not only your photos, but how your day actually feels while you’re living it.
Whether you’re dreaming of a modern rooftop celebration overlooking the city skyline, an elegant Texas Hill Country wedding with oak trees and chandeliers, or a romantic garden ceremony surrounded by greenery, San Antonio honestly has some incredible options.
These are some of my favorite San Antonio wedding venues for couples who want a wedding day that feels intentional, elevated, and full of moments that actually look as good as they feel.

If you’re searching for a Texas Hill Country wedding venue that feels luxurious, romantic, and effortlessly elegant, The Chandelier of Gruene is easily one of the top wedding venues near San Antonio. Located in New Braunfels just outside historic Gruene, this venue is known for its dramatic chandeliers, soaring ceilings, and gorgeous modern-meets-Hill-Country design.
It’s the kind of venue that immediately feels elevated the second you walk in, while still feeling warm and inviting instead of overly formal.
Couples love The Chandelier of Gruene because it combines a luxury wedding aesthetic with a relaxed Hill Country atmosphere. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, spacious reception areas, and a layout that flows beautifully for wedding days. It feels private and peaceful while still being conveniently located between San Antonio and Austin.
One of the biggest perks is how visually cohesive the entire property feels. Every space photographs beautifully without needing a ton of extra decor, which is honestly a dream for couples wanting timeless photos.
The Chandelier of Gruene offers flexible wedding packages with access to both the open-air chapel (with optional climate enclosure) and spacious reception hall, accommodating ceremonies of up to 300 guests and receptions of up to 500 guests. Packages include private bridal and groom suites, tables and Chiavari chairs, setup, professional uplighting, projector and sound systems, covered patios with string lighting, beautifully landscaped grounds, a caterer’s prep kitchen, on-site parking with attendants, venue management, and security. Couples also receive access for an engagement or bridal session and, when available, a rehearsal prior to the wedding.
From a photography perspective, this venue is unreal. The tall cathedral-style ceilings with exposed beams create gorgeous dimensional indoor photos, while the massive chandeliers add such a romantic editorial feel to receptions and first dances.
Outside, you get soft Texas Hill Country scenery, dreamy sunset light, and plenty of open space for portraits without harsh distractions in the background. The venue also has soft even light throughout the property, which is especially important for beautiful portraits!
The indoor chapel is especially incredible for ceremonies because it still feels bright and airy while giving coverage from unpredictable Texas weather.
Venue Pricing: Weekday rentals start at $4,500, while Friday through Sunday pricing ranges from $5,500–$11,500, depending on the season and day of the week.
Catering & Bar: Outside catering vendors allowed with proper permits. All alcohol must be provided and served by one of their approved bar service companies.

If modern architecture, rooftop portraits, and downtown city views are your vibe, The Skyline is one of the coolest modern wedding venues in San Antonio. This venue feels sleek, stylish, and editorial in the best way possible while still giving couples flexibility to fully personalize their wedding design.
The rooftop views overlooking downtown San Antonio are honestly what make this venue stand out. It creates such a fun city-luxury atmosphere without feeling overly corporate or ballroom-heavy.
Couples love The Skyline because it feels modern without feeling cold. The clean design allows every wedding to feel unique depending on the florals, lighting, and decor style brought into the space.
The rooftop ceremony and cocktail hour setup is especially stunning at sunset, and the indoor reception area gives couples a modern weather backup option without sacrificing aesthetics.
It’s also one of the best San Antonio wedding venues for couples who want a wedding that feels trendy, fashion-forward, and different from a traditional rustic Hill Country wedding.
The Skyline is a venue-only rental, giving couples the flexibility to build their dream vendor team. The venue includes a full-day rental (10 AM–12 AM), reception tables and chairs, and seating for up to 300 guests. Security is included with every event, while valet parking and additional rental hours are available as optional add-ons. Couples also have access to on-site getting-ready suites, making it easy to spend the entire wedding day in one location.
This venue is genuinely a dream for modern wedding photography. The rooftop portraits during blue hour and sunset feel straight out of an editorial magazine, especially when downtown lights start glowing behind you.
The clean architecture and neutral tones also allow the couple and the emotion of the day to really stand out in photos rather than competing with the venue itself.
At night, flash photography here is SO pretty. Between the city lights, rooftop atmosphere, and modern reception space, the entire gallery ends up feeling elevated and cinematic.
Venue Pricing: Approximately $4,500 – $8,000+ depending on package and season
Catering & Bar: Any outside vendors are allowed! Catering must be licensed and insured and pre-approval is required.
Location: 707 Dawson St, San Antonio, TX 78202

When you’re choosing your wedding venue, it’s honestly about so much more than just aesthetics. Your venue impacts how your day flows, how your guests experience the celebration, and how your memories are preserved in photos for years to come.
The best San Antonio wedding venues are the ones that not only look beautiful, but actually feel like you when you walk into them.
If you’re currently planning your wedding and looking for a San Antonio wedding photographer who will help your day feel effortless, comfortable, and genuinely fun while capturing all the emotional in-between moments too, I’d absolutely love to connect! Visit my weddings page or visit my portfolio and send an inquiry, I would love to schedule a wedding chat to see if we’re a good fit!
Most San Antonio wedding venues range from about $4,000 to $10,000 for venue rental alone. Venues that include in-house catering or all-inclusive packages typically range from $15,000 to $60,000+, depending on the guest count, menu selections, bar service, and what’s included.
Some of the most sought-after wedding venues in the San Antonio area include The Chandelier of Gruene, Kendall Point, and The The Skyline. The surrounding Hill Country is home to many of Texas’ most popular wedding venues, giving couples a wide variety of styles to choose from.
Most couples book their venue 12–18 months in advance, especially if they’re planning a spring or fall wedding. Popular Saturdays at sought-after venues can book even earlier, so it’s a good idea to start touring venues as soon as you’ve set your budget and guest count.
Spring (March–May) and fall (October–November) are the most popular times to get married in San Antonio thanks to milder temperatures, blooming wildflowers or vibrant fall colors, and beautiful golden-hour light. Winter weddings are also becoming increasingly popular, while summer weddings often require indoor venues or later evening ceremonies to avoid the Texas heat.
